Igniting prosperity in the Bowen Basin and beyond

As the first QCoal mine to commence productions, Sonoma Mine is located just six kilometres south of Collinsville in Queensland’s Bowen Basin. It is our pioneer in our Northern Hub.

Sonoma Mine produces up to four million tonnes of hard coking and thermal coal products each year. Just like all the products from our Northern Hub, coal from Sonoma Mine is processed through the infrastructure facility located on the Sonoma Mine then railed to Abbot Point Coal Terminal bound for local and international markets.

We’re proud of our work at the Sonoma Mine. Our operations at Sonoma exemplify our focus on innovation and industry, drive job creation and power global industry now and into the future.
